Markeer met grote letters zaterdag 20 april 2024 in je agenda, want dan wordt TivoliVredenburg getransformeerd tot een betoverende wereld, waar een symfonie van snaren je omringt. Betreed de prachtig versierde zalen, doordrenkt met kunst, betoverende projecties en sprankelende lichtinstallaties, terwijl we je meenemen op een reis langs cross-over acts en artiesten die op het punt staan om door te breken.

Van betoverende ambient tot aanstekelijke pop, zwoele jazz, sfeervolle folk en majestueuze klassieke muziek, en alles wat daartussen ligt. Laat je verrassen door onverwachtste samenwerkingen en installaties die alle zintuigen prikkelen. Voor de ultieme beleving nodigen we je uit om ook tijdens de nacht te blijven en deel te nemen aan een begeleide ceremonie vol symfonische snaren.

Maar dat is nog niet alles! Pak zelf een instrument tijdens onze instrumentworkshops en geniet van lekkere maaltijden in ons festivalrestaurant! Laat je innerlijke avonturier ontwaken tijdens Night of a 1000 Strings!

De festivaldag is verdeeld in drie delen:

Overdag: De deuren zullen rond 11:00 uur 's ochtends opengaan. Gedurende de dag zijn er workshops, een festivalmarkt, het World Harp concours en zullen de eerste concerten plaatsvinden.
Avond: Rond 18:00 uur wordt ’Night of a 1000 Strings' geopend met een openingsconcert. Tijdens de avond, tussen 18:00 en 23:00 uur, vinden de meeste concerten plaats.
Nacht: Na 23:00 uur duiken we de nacht in met ons nachtprogramma, dat doorgaat tot 07:00 uur met een begeleide ceremonie. Daarover later meer!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 20, 2024, when TivoliVredenburg Utrecht will transform into a world where a symphony of strings will surround you. In beautifully decorated venues, transformed by visuals, projections and light installations, we present genre bending musicians and artists on the verge of their breakthroughs.

There will be a mix of ambient, pop, jazz, folk, classical and everything in between. Special collaborations, sound installations, there is plenty for you to discover. For the ultimate experience, consider staying overnight and participate in a guided ceremony full of strings.

But that’s not all – get hands-on with instrument workshops and have dinner at our festival restaurant! Release your inner wanderlust at Night of a 1000 Strings. You’re invited.

Basically you can divide the festival day into 3 parts:

Day: The doors will open around 11:00 AM. During the day there will be workshops, a festival market, the World Harp Competition and the first concerts of the day.
Evening: Around 06:00 PM the 'Night of the 1000 Strings' will be opened with an opening concert. In this part of the day, between 06:00 and 11:00 PM, most concerts will take place.
Night: After 11:00 PM, we'll dive into the night with our night program which will go on until 07:00 AM with a in guided ceremony full of strings.
