Er is een grote kans dat je internet-sensatie Lovella Telesford’s filmpjes al een keer voorbij hebt zien komen op social media. Deze Amsterdamse moeder met roots in Suriname bespreekt serieuze topics in een komisch jasje. Herkenbare situaties over familie, kinderen, moederschap, daten, ruzies en dagelijkse momenten die we allemaal beleven. Maar ook haar persoonlijke leven brengt zij naar het kleine scherm. In een korte tijd heeft zij hiermee een grote following gecreëerd die zij haar “familie” noemt.

René van Meurs is een klasbak in de Nederlandse comedy. Slim, persoonlijk en altijd grappig. Je kan hem kennen van de Comedytrain, als winnaar van Cameretten of deelnemer aan Expeditie Robinson. Alleen zijn deelname aan dat laatste vond hij vreselijk maar daarom houden we juist meer van hem. René’s nieuwste show is genomineerd voor een Poelifinario en hij wordt alleen maar beter.

Graphic designers and copy writers might soon be made superfluous by AI, but humour is the last bastion of humanity. Like Spartan soldiers fighting the Matrix, four comedians go head-to-algorithm with Chat GPT. Who writes the best jokes? And can you tell who wrote what? What does AI think of our puny human gags? As a clickbait article written by AI would say: the results will shock you!

Lisa toured the globe and more recently opened for Jim Jefferies on his US tour. A pro to the bone with fast-paced, often deadpan humour, she’s the kind of true stellar comic we can’t do without at the Big Binge of Comedy. Lisa does not stop punching.

Diederik Zuurmond (NL/UK) and Daniel Yazbek (SA) are… special. Is it comedic genius that drives them to confess their witty, slightly dark ideas or just a lack of social filter? Do they need therapy or does the audience afterwards? To make it even more interesting, they will take the annoying and distracting things that pop up in audience members’ heads and craft comedy out of it on the spot.

This multi-award-deserving flâneur, raconteur and bon-viveur is currently touring the world, charming women and insulting the stupid. The Non-Stop Gong Show is our late night special, where things can get rowdy and the bar is open. Time for one last joke and one last drink. Alaskan host extra-ordinaire Kendra Borgen is bringing her Amsterdam-based gong show to the fest, with great young comics from the local English scene in tow.

Het UICF loopt voorop in de zoektocht naar comedy talent. Op deze avond zetten we de crème de la crème van gescout talent bij elkaar in een topshow die oplevert dat je later kan zeggen: ‘Oh, heb je die in Carré gezien? Die heb ik in 2024 al gezien toen nog niemand ze kende.’

While a lot of LGBTQ+ comedians talk on stage about how they came out, Navin Noronha did it the other way around: he started coming out on stage to complete strangers at open mic nights before for actually telling the world. His riotous stories and ideas are light-hearted and full of life. ‘The Good Boy’ is show for everyone.
