In the programme Bach, three choreographers each draw highly individual inspiration from the imposing oeuvre of this world-famous composer. Selon désir by Andonis Foniadakis is a whirlwind of energy and desire set to the St Matthew and St John Passions. In contrast, the fleet-footed Corpus Bach by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui is a playful interaction between two dancers, accompanied live by a cellist. Manuelle Vignoulle has created a new work specially for this Bach show: a meditative ensemble piece about the quest for one’s true self. And Introdans dancers and film-makers Jurriën Schobben and Alberto Villanueva Rodríguez are providing a film intermezzo.
