Sustainable coffee and tea from Wonder Beans at TivoliVredenburg

From now on, all our hospitality outlets serve sustainable coffee from Wonder Beans, a Utrecht-based brand committed to regenerative farming, reforestation, and fair wages for coffee farmers. It’s not just delicious coffee – it’s a cup with impact.
A shared mission
Just like Wonder Beans, TivoliVredenburg is dedicated to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. The organization is a frontrunner in adopting climate-neutral and socially conscious practices. Recent steps include greening 80% of our energy consumption, eliminating all single-use plastics, and even rinsing and refilling wine bottles. These ambitions also shape our partnerships – like this new collaboration with Wonder Beans.
Suzanne van Dommelen, Managing Director at TivoliVredenburg: “Our mission – a lifetime of music for everyone – also means that music must still be heard by future generations. That’s why we take care of the environment and work every day to make our live music, events, and hospitality even more sustainable and socially responsible. Our new partnership with Wonder Beans is a perfect fit: this Utrecht brand produces coffee that removes more CO₂ than it emits, with fair pricing for both farmer and consumer.”

More than coffee: a living income and sustainable production
Wonder Beans stands for a transparent and fair coffee supply chain. Coffee farmers who sell directly receive a living income. In addition, Wonder Beans invests in biodiversity and reforestation. This is essential, as coffee monocultures are highly polluting and 1.7 million trees are cut down every hour. Wonder Beans aims to transform all coffee plantations worldwide into CO₂-absorbing Wonder Farms and has already launched several large-scale projects to make this happen.
Ferry Poppegaai, founder of Wonder Beans: “Entrepreneurship with impact. That’s why we started Wonder Beans. Through this collaboration, we and TivoliVredenburg ensure that the people who produce the coffee receive a fair price for their work, while we still offer the coffee at an affordable price. That way, coffee leaves a positive aftertaste – both literally and figuratively.”
