Coronavirus in the Netherlands

Due to the measures that were announced by the Dutch Government and the Dutch National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) we unfortunately need to cancel all events until September first. This way, we hope to contain the further spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). 

Ticket scheme for the corona crisis
These are unreal times. Wonderful concerts, festivals and performances have been canceled. This is a major blow to the entire sector. Under normal circumstances, the consumer is entitled to a refund of the purchase price for canceled concerts. However, the current corona crisis means that the financial impact for the sector is so great that institutions can go bankrupt if, by definition, the money has to be refunded for all tickets already purchased.

Dutch theaters, concert halls, event and sports organizers, museums and festivals have joined forces and are jointly calling on the public not to request a refund for tickets that they have already purchased but cannot be used due to the corona crisis. In this way, cultural institutions do not have to pay back money as quickly and they keep a buffer to start new productions or to schedule new performances and concerts after the corona crisis.

What does that mean to you?
First. We are looking for an alternative date for as many events as possible. Given the large amount of events in our program, it may take a few weeks before we can provide more information about every production.
 The original ticket will remain valid for a new date. If such a rescheduling is not possible or if you are unable to make it on the new date, you can choose a voucher (worth the original ticket price, including (service) costs) which can be redeemed later for a new concert at TivoliVredenburg. You can also opt for a refund and / or a donation. We are currently working on the technical details regarding the voucher credit, refund and the donation options, the donation will go entirely to the artist, musician, ensemble or orchestra and their booking office. As soon as we have everything in order, you as ticketbuyer will automatically receive an email from us.
