De New Yorkse punkpoëet Patti Smith mag dan de zeventig gepasseerd zijn, haar heilige vuur brandt als nooit tevoren. Afgelopen zomer maakte ze op Lowlands nog indruk op de nieuwe generaties concertbezoekers en nu staat ze drie avonden achter elkaar in TivoliVredenburg. De eerste twee avonden zijn in de Ronda (zondag 27) en de Grote Zaal, beide keren met dezelfde band, maar met een verschillende setlist. Met elf studioalbums op haar naam heeft de godmother of punk genoeg materiaal om uit te kiezen, waaronder natuurlijk hits als Dancing Barefoot, Because The Night en People Have The Power! Daarnaast presenteert ze een intieme spoken word show in Hertz (dinsdag 29 januari), zowel deze show als de passe-partouts zijn uitverkocht.

New York punk poet Patti Smith may be in her seventies, but she is more alive than ever! This summer she made a big impression on the Dutch festival Lowlands and now she is returning back to the Netherlands to play 3 exclusive European shows in TivoliVredenburg. The first two nights in the Ronda (Sunday 27 of January) and the Grote Zaal will be a full band experience with a different setlist. With more than ten studio albums The Godmother of Punk has enough to choice including hits like Dancing Barefoot, Because The Night en People have The Power. Besides these full band shows, Patti will also perform a night of spoken words in the intimate Hertz (Tuesday 29 of January).

TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht (situated in the middle of the Netherlands) is easy to reach by train or car.
