Op zaterdag 12 en zondag 13 mei vindt de vijfde editie van het Dutch Harp Festival plaats in TivoliVredenburg. Wat begon als omlijsting van de World Harp Competition is uitgegroeid tot een tweedaags crossover festival – waarbij de harp nog steeds centraal staat. Harpist Remy van Kesteren neemt je mee naar een parallel universum waarin de harp alles behalve alleen een klassiek instrument is.

Stap in en vlieg mee naar Planet Harp! Laat je verrassen door spannende combinaties van muziek, film en visuals. Dompel jezelf twee dagen onder en ontdek de mix van pop, klassiek, jazz en wereldmuziek. Durf jij de pikdonkere ‘The Pit’ in te stappen en de muziek te beleven zonder visuele zintuigen tijdens één van de Concerts in the Dark? Wees getuige van het eerste optreden van Spinvis met zijn koto (een Japanse harp), geniet van The Best of Kraftwerk, hoor een harporkest en laat je wegblazen door de schoonheid van het Nationale Ballet. Dans zaterdagavond de nacht in met een clubnight met Maarten Vos om zondagochtend weer relaxed wakker te worden tijdens Harp Yoga. Deze jubileumeditie wordt afgesloten met de grande finale van de DHF World Harp Competition. See you on Planet Harp!

May 12th and 13th will mark the fifth edition of the Dutch Harp Festival at TivoliVredenburg. What started off as the World Harp Competition has now become a two-day crossover festival – where the harp takes centre stage. Remy van Kesteren will guide you through a parallel universe to show you that the harp is much more than a classical instrument.

Hop on, fly with us to Planet Harp and be surprised by the exciting combinations of music, film and visuals. Dive in, immerse yourself and discover the mix of pop, classical, jazz and world music. Would you dare to step into ‘The Pit’, where there is nothing but pitch black darkness and experience what music will do to you when you can see nothing at all during one of our Concerts in the Dark? Witness the first ever performance of Spinvis playing his koto (a Japanese harp), enjoy The Best of Kraftwerk, hear a harp orchestra and be blown away by the beauty of Het Nationale Ballet. Dance into the night with Maarten Vos during the club night on Saturday and wake up relaxed the next morning with some Harp Yoga. Last but not least, the final act of this anniversary edition will be the grand final of the DHF World Harp Competition! See you on Planet Harp!
