DABKE NIGHT is back at TivoliVredenburg with another exciting musical urban cross-over for lovers of the new and traditional sounds of the Middle-East. With Dabke as a foundation of the concept, Dabke Night lets you enjoy the true colours of new urban diversity, building bridges between Middle-Eastern and Western culture.

CAIRO LIBERATION FRONT
For this edition of Dabke Night we collaborate with electro-cha3bi collective Cairo Liberation Front, known for their EURABIA parties, for an exciting collaboration that crosses all musical borders of the Middle-East.

TROPIKAL CAMEL
Special guest of the evening is Tropikal Camel presents the new urban sound of Middle Eastern/North African futurism, an original fusion between traditional Arabic music with cutting edge electronic sounds. It is a quest for a new identity, one which has been released by colonialist thinking. One that has respect to the past but with heads up to the future, urban but tribal, dramatic but minimal, full of contradictions but keeping the balance. Electronic music that has a meaning and a story.

DJ MATRUB
Matrub مطروب is an alias of mps Pilot. Playing worldwide traditional electronic music since long, also consisting oriental sounds, the name Matrub مطروب rose as a dedication to the Syrian diaspora in The Netherlands. Matrub مطروب DJ’s and produces fresh Arabic music, heard all over, and inspired by the Arab World. Matrub مطروب is resident of the Dabke Night.
