De IJslandse singer-songwriter Ásgeir Trausti Einarsson, beter bekend als Ásgeir, brak in zijn thuisland meteen door met zijn debuutalbum Dýrð í dauðaþögn (2012), dat hij twee jaar later met behulp van John Grant (The Czars) in het Engels vertaalde en internationaal uitbracht. Een goede zet, want inmiddels heeft Ásgeir ook de rest van de wereld veroverd met zijn meestal in falsetstem gezongen, warme folktronica. Eind 2022 verscheen Ásgeirs vierde album Time On My Hands, waarop hij spannende elektropop toevoegt aan zijn sound – op prijsnummer Snowblind kan zelfs gedanst worden!

‘’This will be my first ever acoustic solo tour and I will perform the songs alone on my guitars and a piano. The shows will hopefully feel relaxed and intimate, and I will try to talk a bit about the songs in between. You will get to hear the songs how they were made before they were arranged in the studio. I will also play some songs from the Low-Fi version of ‘Time on My Hands’ that was released earlier this year.
