De Engelse pop- en r&b-zangeres Jess Glynne brak in 2014 door toen ze door haar landgenoten van Clean Bandit werd gevraagd het nummer Rather Be in te zingen. Rather Be werd de grootste hit van dat jaar en de springplank voor een uiterst succesvolle carrière van Glynne: de zangeres met de krachtige stem en dito persoonlijkheid scoorde daarna dikke hits als My Love (met Route 94), Hold My Hand en These Days (met Rudimental). Na een korte break kwam Glynne in april dit jaar sterk terug met haar derde album JESS, waarop ze rauwer, persoonlijker en kwetsbaarder klinkt dan ooit!
